There is something rather wonderful about a thing made by hand.

Fabric spread across the cutting table. A favorite pair of scissors. The hum of the sewing machine. Ribbons, buttons and little details chosen simply because they make something feel special.

Made at the Cottage is our collection of small-batch pieces created right here at Honey Bee & Lavender Cottage—one at a time, with usefulness, beauty and a little bit of whimsy in mind.

Here you'll find aprons made for flour-dusted afternoons and family recipes, little purses for important childhood treasures, seasonal pillow covers that become part of family traditions, sweet pouches for gifting and gathering, and whatever else happens to be coming from our Cottage workroom that week.

Some pieces will return again and again. Others may be made from a beautiful bit of fabric we've collected over the years and may never be quite the same twice.

And we rather like it that way.

Especially for You

Because many of our pieces are created in small batches, the fabrics you see in our photographs may sometimes be inspiration rather than the exact combination you will receive.

For selected designs, after you place your order we'll share a carefully chosen selection of our current Cottage fabric pairings with you. You can choose the one that feels most like you—or the person you're giving it to—and we'll make your piece especially for you.

No enormous production runs.
No warehouse full of identical things.

Just lovely fabrics, thoughtful details and hands at the Cottage making something we hope will become part of your family's ordinary—and extraordinary—days.
